Has anyone used optical express for laser surgery. how did you find it? how much did it cost? is the £399 an eye all you pay or is it alot more?

Regarding LASIK surgery, is Custom Wavefront Lasik worth $800 more than Flying Spot Technology?

If someone could provide an educated opinion on the topic I’d appreciate it. My LASIK surgeon recommended either the Bausch & Lomb 217Z (flying spot) or the Bausch & Lomb Zyoptix (custom wavefront). When I search for articles on the web, all I get are articles promoting one or the other, but I cant find a comparison. It seems like the Zypotix comes higher recommended but is it worth an extra 0? Or is the improvement between custom wavefront over flying spot worth it?

My 4yr olds fifth eye surgery coming soon for exotropia. How many is to many? Is vision therapy a option still?

I like his surgeon, highly recommended. I just don’t know how many more surgeries to put him through. I feel he needs them for his eyes to align but I am getting more discouraged with each surgery. I’m not sure now how effective vision therapy will be since we’ve already done surgeries. Any advise/suggestions is appreciated.

Here’s the catch - 1) my vision, even though my contacts bother me, isn’t that bad. About -2 in each eye. 2) I have an astigmatism that I’ve heard is difficult to correct with laser surgery.
Does anyone have a similar situation and had the surgery? Did it work? Any problems after surgery?

I had lasik about 2 years ago. It was great for about 6 weeks then starting degressing. I told the doctor and he kept saying wait….now he says I can’t get the lasik redone, I have the start of a cataract and asigmatisim. Never had either of those before. Can lasik cause those?

I’m looking for information on a specific type of eye surgery but I can’t remember the name of it to look it up. I believe it’s where they go in and cut a nerve or something so that that eye is the same as the other eye. The reason for the surgery is for people who have diplopia (double vision) and/or amblyopia (lazy eye). Once that nerve or whatever is cut, the eye will focus and move the same as the other eye. Does anyone know what the name of this surgery is?

Im 17… and i want to fly planes or helicopters or sum thin. . I’m going into the military no matter what i don’t know what branch yet. i wear contacts and i want to get laser eye surgery but i dont know if i can because of my age? This is important to me, so if anyone can tell me how old you have to be fore laser eye surgery i would HIGHLY APPRECIATE IT!!
