How soon before LASEK should I remove soft toric contact lenses?

My current doctor said 3-4 days is fine. However, I read in several places on the internet that other doctors recommend keeping them out up to two weeks, and even longer for torric lenses. Mine have been out for almost three weeks, but I wore the one in my right eye for two days, which would mean I will have taken it out six days before surgery and three days before the evaluation.

During the evaluation, I heard the doctors complaining about significant anomalies in my right cornea, but I never heard them suggest it could have been from contact lenses.

Is this something to worry about? Or is six days more than adequate to recover the cornea’s original shape from soft contact lens wear?

I would not get Lasek. I am not an eye doctor, but sometime its the lens and not the cornea that is the main problem. The procedure is still too new to trust.
