My Lasek Eye Surgery at Park Avenue Laser in NYC
This is a video of the laser vision correction surgery that was performed on my by Dr. Emil Chynn at Park Avenue Laser Vision in New York City. This is the newest, bladeless, flapless laser procedure (called LASEK, not LASIK) and I am now seeing 20/20, just days after the surgery.
Dr. Chynn was the first doctor in NY to perform lasik procedures, and has since performed over 9000 with no lawsuits or settlements. I would highly recommend going to Dr. Chynn if you live in the tri-state area!

Dr. Emil Chynn is unprofessional and inappropriate. He seems to be a decent surgeon, but DON’T QUESTION HIM in any way or he’ll become nasty and threaten to discharge you from his practice! He also yells at and demeans his staff in front of patients!

American Medical Association, Report of the Council on Ethical and Judicial Affairs: Physicians should not offer financial incentives or other valuable consideration to patients in exchange for recruitment of other patients. Such incentives can distort the information that patients provide to potential patients, thus distorting the expectations of potential patients and compromising the trust that is the foundation of the patient physician relationship.

LASIK is finally all over the news and showed to be causing great concern. Google: LASIK FDA, LASIK SUICIDES, LifeAfterLasik, Lasik-Flap. The 95% success rate is bogus. We spoke in front of the FDA Panel this week telling them that there are about 10,000 hurt LASIK patients, not the reported 140 complaints they are stating. Anyway. Google: Brian Williams LASIK FDA NBC, LASIK CBS, LASIK ABC, LASIK CBC.

I went to the same place and I truely believe that it is PRK that they do instead of Lasek. I think all the patients should take appropriate action!

The INFORMED CONSENT FORM protects the Lying Lasik Doctors from being sued while HURTING the patients these doctors swore to protect when they swore the HIPPOCRATIC OATH “to do NO harm” which they all have forgotten about. Lasik is so dangerous and so many patients are unhappy, that the FDA called for an emergency Panel Discussion taking place on April 24th and 25th, 2008. Google: FDA Panel Lasik Discussion Maryland and you will see what is going on. Patients are suicidal…Need I say more?

Not in the procedure, here they remove it. Then they put a contact over the area to aid it in healing back.

Hi what was your prescription before the surgery.

this looks like a PRK procedure, where they remove the flap completely

OMG they’re supposed to put the flap back!!!

some reported better healing if the epithelium is removed and not repositioned,

That was weird… why did he scrape that part of your cornea off? Or was that something else? and it looked like he twisted your eyeball… what did he do?
livelikeriley posted: 06 Dec at 5:57 pm
Hmm…I thought Lasek left the flap of the epithelium in tact and then repositioned it afterwards…I was thinking about this proceedure with Dr. Chynn, but here it looks like he removed it entirely as in PRK? Could you clarify which procedure you got? Thanks!
